How did you come up with the idea to create a fan page for David Anders?
Just a couple of days ago, on May 20th 2017, I had the great pleasure and honor to be able to meet David Anders personally in the UK, at Telford Fanzone. I have got to admit, that I first discovered and started to pay attention to David when iZombie was streamable on Netflix in 2015.
Since 2015 I have been trying to catch up on most of the series and movies he played a role in, but no character ever caught my attention as Blaine (DeBeers) McDonough did.
This is also the reason why the first version of "I Lie for A Living" features the MeatCute and Blaine.
I had the idea to start the fan page after returning from Telford and wanting more information about David.
I discovered very soon that he has no official pages, besides his Twitter and Instagram, and that there is no "one" source to find all dates and data on, but many different with bits of information.
Soon after this it was clear to me that David Anders needed a place where all information is accessible at once.
So the idea for "I Lie for a Living" was born.
Why the name: I Lie for a Living?
During my research to look for other fan pages featuring the iZombie cast or David in particular, I discovered that most pages use names such as "XXX Source", "XXX Online", "XXX Fans" - considering David all these names had been taken and had been in use or are still.
Since I of course do not steal the ideas of other people, I decided to go with something more unconventional.
I love the line David uses as a description for himself on his Twitter:
"I lie for a living and tell the truth as a hobby."
Since the whole phrase would have been too long, I decided to go with the first part of it as the Website's name. Not super creative, but I like the name. That is all there is to it!
When was the web build and when did it go online?
I started my work on ILieForALiving.com on 25th of May 2017
and I managed to get the site online by 5th of June 2017.
